Sabpuja VPS Backup Connector

Sabpuja VPS Backup Connector is Sabpuja's internal utility for securely storing and recovering encrypted operational backups using a Google Drive account authorized by Sabpuja. It supports continuity and disaster recovery for our managed business systems.

What this application does

The connector is intended for authorized Sabpuja administrators. It integrates rclone, Google Drive and Restic so that backup archives can be encrypted before upload, checked for integrity and retrieved when a recovery is required. It is not a public cloud-storage service or a customer sign-in application.

How the Google Drive connection works

  1. An authorized account owner grants Google Drive access through Google's consent screen.
  2. The connector requests Google Drive file access (drive.file), limited to files and folders it creates or that are expressly made available to it.
  3. Once the backup workflow is activated, Restic encrypts backup contents before rclone stores repository files in the connected Google Drive account.
  4. Authorized administrators can verify encrypted backups, restore required recovery data and remove backups according to operational retention needs.

Why access is requested

Google Drive access is used only to create and maintain Sabpuja's encrypted backup repository and support recovery. The connector does not request access to Gmail, Contacts or unrelated Google Drive documents. It does not use Google account data for targeted advertising, unrelated analytics or AI model training.

Security and account control

Backup decryption uses a separate credential from Google Drive authentication. The account owner controls the Google authorization and can revoke it through Google Account security settings. Revocation ends future authorized API access but does not automatically erase previously stored encrypted backup files.
