Preparation
- Choose a clean, quiet altar space.
- Place the yantra, devotional image/card and cloth actually included in your delivered kit.
- Keep loose items in separate clean bowls rather than mixing them together.
- Keep any Rudraksha respectfully near the altar unless the supplied instructions specifically say it is ready to wear.
- Light diya/incense only when safe to do so.
Puja steps
- Wash hands/face or bathe, wear clean clothes and sit calmly.
- Take a simple sankalp to pray sincerely and use the kit respectfully.
- Begin with a short Shri Ganesha prayer according to your tradition.
- Focus on Brihaspati/Guru (Jupiter) and the associated devotional image or yantra in your kit.
- Offer a flower, a little akshat, fragrance and diya where appropriate. You do not need to use every loose item in one sitting.
- Chant Om Brim Brihaspataye Namah. slowly and respectfully. No fixed count is required by this Sabpuja general guide.
- If Vishnu Sahasranama material is included, read or listen during the prayer section. Use turmeric or cloth only as labeled or according to household tradition.
- Sit quietly for a moment or offer a personal prayer.
- If part of your practice, perform a short aarti or show the diya.
- Fold your hands, offer gratitude and keep reusable sacred items in a clean, dry place.
Safety notes
- Keep diya, incense and camphor attended and on a heat-safe surface.
- Keep flames away from cloth, packaging, children and pets.
- Do not burn powders, seeds, cloth or unknown materials.
- Do not consume any kit item unless its product label explicitly says it is food-grade.
