Sabpuja VPS Backup Connector - Privacy Notice

Effective date: 28 October 2026

This notice explains how Sabpuja VPS Backup Connector, an internal backup utility operated by Sabpuja, accesses and uses Google Drive data. It is separate from our general storefront privacy policy.

What the connector does

With authorization from the Google account owner, the connector uses rclone and encrypted Restic backups to store, check and retrieve recovery copies of Sabpuja-managed systems in Google Drive. This is an internal operational tool, not a public customer application or a Google Drive file-sharing service.

Google account access and information

The connector requests the Google Drive https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file permission. This is limited to files and folders the app creates or that the account holder explicitly makes available to it. The connector may process the identifiers, file names, sizes, timestamps and folder structures of those permitted files, together with OAuth credentials necessary to maintain the authorized connection. It does not request unrestricted access to unrelated personal Drive files.

How Google data is used

Authorized operations are creating and organizing backup repository files, uploading encrypted backup data, listing or checking those files, restoring selected backups and deleting backups under our retention process. Google data received through this authorization is not used for advertising, marketing profiles, unrelated analytics or model training.

Storage and security

When backups are activated, backup content is encrypted by Restic before being uploaded to Google Drive. Decryption requires a separate recovery credential. Rclone authorization credentials are held on restricted-access Sabpuja infrastructure, not published on this website. Only authorized administrators should operate the backup process. No security system can guarantee absolute protection.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell Google user data or share it with advertisers. Authorized Sabpuja operators and necessary infrastructure or storage providers may process data only to perform the backup and recovery purpose, maintain security or comply with applicable law. Google Drive stores the encrypted repository under the connected Google account.

Retention, deletion and revoking access

Backup files are retained according to Sabpuja's operational recovery requirements and the retention settings adopted when scheduled backups are activated. The Google account owner may revoke this application's Google access in their Google Account security settings. Revocation stops future authorized access but does not by itself delete files already stored in Drive. An authorized administrator can arrange deletion of connector-created backup files or stored credentials, subject to legal and recovery obligations. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion where applicable.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
